Atlanta Hawks guard Dennis Schroder has been arrested for battery assault.

Schroder was pulled on the misdemeanour on Thursday morning in a suburb of Atlanta, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 24-year-old German international was released from custody on bail Wojnarowski also reports.

“We are aware of an incident involving Dennis Schröder earlier this morning,” a statement from the Hawks said.

“We are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation, and out of respect for the legal process, we will have no further comment at this time.”

Last season, Schroder averaged 17.9 points plus 6.3 assists per game.
