Kofi Josephs will replace the injured Carl Wheatle as Great Britain’s 12-man roster for Eurobasket is complete.

Josephs was originally one of coach Joe Prunty’s final cuts ahead of Eurobasket until Wheatle injured his knee in a warm-up game against Hungary in Warsaw.

The Birmingham-born forward tweeted that he was on an early morning flight to Istanbul and then confirmed the news to British outlet Hoopsfix.

β€œIt feels great to make the EuroBasket squad, especially having had no National Team experience from juniors,” Josephs told Hoopsfix.

β€œIt’s been a goal of mine for some time to get this sort of recognition. I’m excited to be a part of the team and help in any way I can.”

GB are currently flying to Istanbul where they begin their Eurobasket campaign in Group D alongside Latvia, Russia, Serbia, Belgium and hosts Turkey.
