Kofi Josephs will replace the injured Carl Wheatle as Great Britain’s 12-man roster for Eurobasket is complete.

Josephs was originally one of coach Joe Prunty’s final cuts ahead of Eurobasket until Wheatle injured his knee in a warm-up game against Hungary in Warsaw.

The Birmingham-born forward tweeted that he was on an early morning flight to Istanbul and then confirmed the news to British outlet Hoopsfix.

“It feels great to make the EuroBasket squad, especially having had no National Team experience from juniors,” Josephs told Hoopsfix.

“It’s been a goal of mine for some time to get this sort of recognition. I’m excited to be a part of the team and help in any way I can.”

GB are currently flying to Istanbul where they begin their Eurobasket campaign in Group D alongside Latvia, Russia, Serbia, Belgium and hosts Turkey.
