Cleveland Cavaliers are looking at Kristaps Porzingis as their “primary target” as they explore trade options for want-away guard Kyrie Irving.

Porzingis, currently with the Latvian national side in preparation for Eurobasket has stated that he is comfortable with the New York Knicks and wants to spend his professional career in the Big Apple.

But perhaps a potential tandem with LeBron James could change his mind?

Via ESPN:

Porzingis has emerged as a primary Cleveland target, but that’s a conversation that can occur only with Cleveland’s willingness to unburden the Knicks of the three years and $55 million left on Joakim Noah’s contract.

For now, the conversation is a nonstarter for the Knicks, league sources said.
