Tal Burstein, the iconic player of Maccabi Tel Aviv and Isralei basketball has made a comeback to the team of his heart. As announced moments ago, the player signed a three-years deal with the runner-ups of Israeli league and will wear, once again, the yellow and blue jersey.
Burstein’s return was a top priority for the club’s (old) new coach David Blatt. Burstein had spent nine whole seasons with Maccabi before trying his luck at ACB with Fuenlabrada last summer.
The player stated after signing his new contract: “I am delighted and proud to return to home. It will be a pleasure to co-exist again with Derrick (Sharp) and David (Blatt). I trust that he will quietly form a great, balanced and intelligent group of players in the way only he knows. I had a fascinating year in Spain, but there is nothing like returning to Israel, Maccabi and Nokia Arena. I hope to complete my career here “
