Recently fired from Panathinaikos Athens Alessandro Gentile is not going to play anywhere until the summer and is trying to get ready for EuroBasket. At the moment Gentile is practicing individually in Milan.
Forward agent told that Gentile got offers from some Italy and other European teams but Italian did not want to play anywhere. 25-year-old Gentile’s agent said: “Alessandro is not planning to play anywhere until July. We are thankful Italian and European teams for their interest but Gentile’s goal is to practice individually ant get prepare for EuroBasket. Right now he just wants to make it to thefinal Italy squad.”
After Gentile was fired from Panathinaikos he cannot play in any other Euroleague team because he changed team once this season after he was loaned from Emporio Armani. In Italy league it is not allowed to buy any new players so Gentile, probably, got interest from second Italian league.
Forward still has contract with Italy champions but cannot play for them and despite that relationship between Gentile and Emporio Armani management is not really warm.
This season Gentile in Euroleague averaged 7 points, 2,6 rebounds and 1,5 assists per game.
