Manchester Giants added two more victories to their maiden success last weekend after coming through two thrillers.

Yorick Williams’ side pulled off a stunning 89-88 comeback win against Worcester Wolves after netting four 3-pointers in the final 40 seconds including Mortiz Lanegger’s game-winner at the buzzer.
The Giants then held off Bristol Flyers in an 82-80 overtime success on Sunday to make it three wins on the bounce and climb up to seventh in the league table.
Sam Toluwase scored a game-high of 28 points in Sunday’s win with 20 points coming in the opening half.
Another big result came at the Emirates Arena as Glasgow Rocks recorded their ninth straight win in all competitions with a 97-92 win over Leicester Riders.

 

Neil Watson netted 24 points for the Rocks to hand his former side their first league loss on the season with six other players hitting double figures in the win.

 

Esh Group Eagles Newcastle have the outright lead after another double-winning weekend saw them improve to 11-1.

 

Deondre Parks top scored with 27 points in Friday’s 104-68 success over DBL Sharks Sheffield, before Rahmon Fletcher led a comeback effort against Leeds Force with 28 points in an 86-91 road victory having been down 12 at the end of the third.

 

Surrey Scorchers came from behind to pick up their third league win as they saw off Bristol Flyers 67-73 on the road, while Plymouth Raiders defeated Worcester Wolves 94-81 behind a combined 45 points from Daryl Corletto and Anton Grady to consolidate their place in the top six.

 

The final game of the weekend saw DBL Sharks Sheffield record a 78-93 win away from home against Cheshire Phoenix with Malcolm Riley top scoring with 21 points to help the Sharks to a 6-6 record.
