After originally pulling out of the EuroCup in July, Italian side Cantu have surprisingly decided to re-enter the competition.

The Italian side are owned by Dimitry Gerasimenko, who also owns Russian side BC Volgograd, who will be the side that will step away from the EuroCup. This decision is certain to break the bond between FIBA and the Italian Federation.
