Here’s class of 2027 star point guard Cayden Daughtry sharing an important message for young hoopers.

(via Baseline Banter):

“Don’t let people’s doubts get in the way of how you work or how you play or what you do on the court or in life in general, cuz I’ve had people doubt me my whole life, obviously cuz my size, obviously cuz people called me a shot chucker when I was younger, people said I wasn’t as good of a passer before this year and stuff like that. And I ain’t let it get to me. I knew that the work that I put in every single day is gon’ show one day, and all it takes is that one game to wake somebody up.

“So obviously, some people might take longer. Some people might take one game, maybe one play. But just knowing that don’t let people discourage you and just give it 150 percent every time you go on the court, every time you even go in school. Anything, just put your whole mind to it, put your whole body into it, and work will show.”
