Giannis Antetokounmpo has taken the next step in his new journey with the Miami Heat, touching down in South Florida following the blockbuster trade that ended his 13-season run with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Before heading to Miami, the two-time NBA MVP stopped in Atlanta to watch the FIFA World Cup semifinal between Argentina and England.

After landing, Antetokounmpo briefly spoke with the Heat’s media team and looked ahead to his first official day with the organization.

“I’m excited. I’m going to the arena tomorrow morning, then we’ll have the press conference. I’m excited, I feel good,” Antetokounmpo said.

The Heat are set to formally introduce Antetokounmpo on Thursday, ushering in a new era for both the franchise and one of the league’s biggest stars.
