Mario Hezonja is reportedly making a strong effort to return to the NBA during this offseason after spending the past several years playing in Europe.

The 31-year-old forward is currently under a long-term contract with Real Madrid, but his deal includes an NBA exit clause that remains valid until July 20.

According to reports, Hezonja’s buyout is expected to cost approximately $850,000.

The player has not appeared in the NBA since the 2019-20 season with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Since leaving the league, he has spent one season in Greece, another in Russia, and the last four years with Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.

Last season, Hezonja played in 80 games across all competitions, averaging 15.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field.

His consistent production has renewed interest in a potential NBA comeback.
