Free agent center Andre Drummond has agreed to a one-year, $3.9 million contract with the New York Knicks, according to ESPN.

Drummond fills an important need in New York’s frontcourt following the departure of Mitchell Robinson, giving the Knicks an experienced rebounder and interior presence.

The Mount Vernon, New York native reportedly received interest from multiple teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, before deciding to sign with his hometown team on Friday.
