Jaylen Brown has reportedly become frustrated with the Celtics’ direction following a season in which he helped lead Boston to 56 wins while Jayson Tatum missed significant time recovering from a torn Achilles.

Brown’s future remains uncertain as free agency approaches, with the Celtics continuing to receive trade inquiries from teams around the league.

The 2024 Finals MVP was also included in Boston’s unsuccessful trade pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo before the Bucks star was dealt to the Heat.

Celtics president Brad Stevens declined to guarantee that Brown would remain with the team next season, fueling further speculation about whether Boston is seriously considering a trade or simply evaluating the market.

League sources indicate Brown could still return to the Celtics, although doing so may require both sides to address growing tensions.

After missing out on Antetokounmpo, Boston now faces difficult decisions as it weighs its roster-building plans heading into free agency.
