The Atlanta Hawks have declined their $24.3 million team option on Jonathan Kuminga for the 2026-27 season, making the athletic forward an unrestricted free agent.

Kuminga originally signed a two-year, $48.5 million contract with the Warriors as a restricted free agent last offseason before being traded to Atlanta at the deadline in the deal that sent Kristaps Porzingis to Golden State.

The 23-year-old appeared in 16 regular-season games with the Hawks following the trade, averaging 12.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while providing frontcourt versatility.
