The Clippers and Bogdan Bogdanovic have agreed to extend the deadline for the team’s decision on his $16 million option for the 2026-27 season, giving both sides additional time before Monday’s league-wide option deadline.

According to Jake Fischer, the extension allows Los Angeles to continue exploring trade possibilities involving the veteran guard.

If the Clippers exercise the option, Bogdanovic’s expiring contract could become a useful salary-matching piece in a potential deal.

Declining the option would instead send him into free agency.

Bogdanovic is coming off the most difficult season of his NBA career after injuries limited him to just 23 appearances.

He averaged 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while posting career-low shooting percentages from both the field and three-point range.

Despite his recent struggles, the 33-year-old has built a strong reputation during his NBA career and has reportedly generated interest from overseas clubs.

The Nuggets are also believed to be monitoring his situation should he become an unrestricted free agent.
