Mike Schmitz expressed confidence in the Dallas Mavericks’ ability to find quality talent in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Dallas currently owns the No. 9, No. 30, and No. 48 picks in this year’s draft.

“We want someone who can bring a variety of different skills and bring kind of a mentality that we’re looking for,” the new GM said.

“But we’re really confident we can get a rotation-level player, and we’re going to do everything we can.”

Schmitz also said he hopes to bring a collaborative style to the Mavericks front office while helping build around reigning Rookie of the Year Cooper Flagg.
