The NBA’s demanding schedule is once again facing scrutiny as injuries continue to rise around the league.

Players must navigate an 82-game regular season before entering a two-month playoff run, with many around the league believing the calendar leaves little room for recovery.

The league has also introduced additional competitive pressures in recent years, including the in-season tournament and the 65-game minimum required for major awards eligibility.

This season alone, 13 NBA players suffered multiple calf injuries, while six players experienced at least three calf strains in a single year – a number that previously occurred only five times total over the prior 14 seasons combined.
