Shai Gilgeous-Alexander criticized over foul-call dependence

Sports analyst Nick Wright shared a strong opinion about Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, suggesting the Oklahoma City star is far less dominant when he is not consistently drawing fouls from defenders.

Wright stated that Gilgeous-Alexander performs at an elite, all-time level when officiating favors his aggressive style of play, but compared his production to a lower tier when those calls are absent.

“When he’s guarded normally and plays normally, he goes down from peak Michael Jordan to peak Dwyane Wade,” Wright said.
