John Starks pushed back on speculation surrounding Mike Brown, making it clear he doesn’t believe the New York Knicks head coach is in danger of losing his job, regardless of how the playoff run unfolds.

Speaking ahead of Game 5 against the Atlanta Hawks, Starks dismissed the online chatter suggesting Brown could be under pressure.

“No, no, there’s nothing there,” Starks said. “I know people are looking for something there. But there’s nothing there.”

He added that Brown is still adjusting to leading the team in a postseason environment, especially in his first playoff run with the group, and emphasized that the situation is stable.

“Coach is doing what he’s doing. It’s his first time with the team as far as the playoffs, so he’s getting adjusted to that part of it – what guys do this, what guys do that. So, he’s fine.”

Despite reports from Sam Amick suggesting Brown’s job could be at risk even with a deep playoff push, Starks remains confident the organization is not viewing the situation that way.
