As the team gets ready for its Turkish Airlines EuroLeague return next season, Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul kept a key piece from last year’s 7DAYS EuroCup title-winning squad by re-signing forward Blake Schilb for another season, the club announced Friday.

Schilb (2.01 meters, 32 years old) did a little bit of everything last season, averaging 12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 23 EuroCup games, helping Galatasaray lift the trophy.

He started his career with CEZ Basketball Nymburk of the Czech Republic and also played for Elan Chalon and Paris Levallois of France, as well as for Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade of Serbia. He helped Nymburk win back-to-back Czech doubles – league and cup titles – in his two seasons with the team.

Schilb also lifted the French Cup title with Chalon in 2011 and won three titles with that team – French League, French Cup, Semaine des As – in 2012, when he was chosen as the foreign MVP of that season. Schilb has also been a member of the Czech Republic’s national team.
