The Miami Heat are set to waive guard Terry Rozier on Friday after he missed the entire season while under investigation for his involvement in a gambling scandal.

Rozier’s $26.6 million salary is fully guaranteed and will remain on Miami’s books as dead money.

Although his pay was initially placed in escrow, the team has since resumed paying him on a normal schedule.

With the move, the Heat will create an open roster spot heading into the 2026 postseason.

Miami has already secured a place in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament.
