Giannis Antetokounmpo is trying to make one more appearance this season, and the motivation goes beyond wins, losses or the Bucks’ playoff fate. NBA insider Shams Charania reported on ESPN Tuesday that Antetokounmpo is ramping up this week and wants to play with his brothers before the regular season ends.

Charania reported Antetokounmpo wants to return in time to share the court with Thanasis and Alex Antetokounmpo. If it happens, it would mark the first time all three brothers have played together in an NBA game.

The Bucks listed Giannis as out for Tuesday’s game at Brooklyn because of an ankle injury, but the target appears to be Friday’s home finale against the Nets. Milwaukee closes the regular season with four games left, including another meeting with Brooklyn and a road game against Philadelphia.

Even with the team eliminated at 31-47, the return would carry meaning. Giannis has remained the center of the Bucks’ offense this season, averaging 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 36 games while shooting 62.4% from the field.

The family angle gives the final stretch a different tone for Milwaukee. Thanasis Antetokounmpo has appeared in 32 games this season, while Alex Antetokounmpo has been on the roster and has played four games, giving the Bucks a realistic path to an unprecedented brotherly reunion if Giannis is cleared.

For a Bucks season that has already moved into evaluation mode, that is now the story to watch. The focus is no longer on standings pressure. It is on whether Giannis can get back one more time and turn a forgotten week in April into a milestone his family will remember forever.
