Toronto’s visit to Memphis on Friday night comes with both teams shorthanded, and the injury report may shape the matchup more than the standings.
The Raptors list Immanuel Quickley out with plantar fasciitis and Chucky Hepburn out with a right knee recovery, while Jamison Battle is questionable with an illness. Quickley has averaged 16.9 points and 6.0 assists, so his absence matters at both ends of the floor.
Memphis is dealing with a far longer injury list. Ja Morant is out with a left elbow UCL sprain, and the Grizzlies are also without Santi Aldama, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Brandon Clarke, Zach Edey, Ty Jerome, Scotty Pippen Jr., Cam Spencer, Jaylen Wells, and others.
That kind of turnover strips away much of the Grizzlies’ scoring, shot creation, and interior size. Morant’s 19.5 points and 8.1 assists per game are the headliner, but Memphis is also missing Edey’s 11.1 rebounds per game and Aldama’s 14.0 points and 6.7 rebounds.
The matchup also arrives at a tough time for Memphis, which has lost two straight and gave up 130 points to the Knicks on April 1. Toronto dropped its most recent game 123-115 to Sacramento.
The Raptors won the only meeting between the teams this season, 117-104 in Toronto on Nov. 2, 2025.
