RJ Barrett scored 27 points and Brandon Ingram added 26 to guide the Toronto Raptors to a 117-104 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday at Scotiabank Arena. Toronto improved to 3-4, recording consecutive wins for the first time this season.
Scottie Barnes contributed 19 points and 12 rebounds, while rookie Collin Murray-Boyles added 15 points off the bench. The Raptors built an early lead, holding a 53-47 advantage at halftime and opening the third quarter with an 8-0 run.
Memphis played without two-time All-Star Ja Morant, who was serving a one-game suspension, and struggled to keep pace. Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 20 points, and Santi Aldama added 15. Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. each scored 14 points for the visitors.
Toronto closed the third quarter with a 7-0 run to extend their lead to 84-71 heading into the final period. Barrett and Ingram’s scoring, combined with Barnes’ eight assists and five blocked shots, helped the Raptors maintain control.
Both teams faced shooting challenges from beyond the arc, with Toronto hitting 11 of 37 three-point attempts and Memphis converting 11 of 35. The Raptors outpaced the Grizzlies in transition, scoring 25 fast break points.
Toronto managed the game without center Jakob Poeltl, who missed his third straight game with a sore lower back. The Raptors relied on perimeter scoring and bench contributions to secure the win.
Memphis dropped back-to-back games for the first time this season, following Friday’s 117-112 home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Grizzlies will return home to face the Detroit Pistons on Monday, while Toronto hosts the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.
