Since converting his two-way contract into a standard deal, Jamal Cain has put together some of his strongest performances of the season for the Orlando Magic.
Over his last four games, he has averaged 10.8 points and 5.3 rebounds while also contributing as a passer, recording eight assists compared to just one turnover.
He continued that run in Thursday’s win, scoring 11 points on an efficient 5-of-6 shooting performance.
His impact has not gone unnoticed, with teammate Paolo Banchero highlighting the energy he brings on the court, per Jason Beede of The Orlando Sentinel.
“He’s making big time energy plays out there,” Banchero said. “Cuts, rebounds, transition finishes … He’s athletic. He has a solid feel for the game out there.”
Looking ahead, Orlando also holds a minimum-salary team option on Cain for the 2026/27 season.
