Joel Embiid returned to the lineup for the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday after missing 13 games with an oblique strain, making an immediate impact in a dominant win over the Chicago Bulls.

Embiid led the way with 35 points while also contributing seven assists and six rebounds, helping power Philadelphia to a comfortable victory.

After the game, he addressed how he’s feeling physically, explaining that while previous concerns about his knees are no longer an issue, the oblique injury remains something he has to manage carefully.

“My knees haven’t been an issue for a long time. That’s past me,” Embiid said, via PHLY Sports. “The oblique was very tricky, and it still is tricky. Really nothing you can do about it, gotta let it ride and hope it doesn’t get worse.”

Embiid has played 10 seasons for the 76ers. He has averaged 27.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 486 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 7 All-Star games, and has won 1 MVP award.
