One reason for optimism in Philadelphia is the health outlook for big man Joel Embiid, who has been limited by injuries in recent years.

According to Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment president of sports Bob Myers, Embiid enters this offseason without a scheduled surgery, allowing him to focus on improvement rather than rehabilitation.

“This is an opportunity to get better, not to play catch-up for Joel, but to actually get better and build on last year,” said Myers.

76ers president of basketball operations Mike Gansey also expressed support for the organization’s current leadership structure, including newly promoted general manager Jameer Nelson.

He also indicated that head coach Nick Nurse will remain in place heading into next season.
