Paul George made his return to the lineup for the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday after serving a 25-game suspension for violating the league’s anti-drug policy, helping the team secure a 157-137 win over the Chicago Bulls.

Ahead of his comeback, Tony Jones of The Athletic outlined five key elements the Sixers had been lacking without George.

At the top of that list was his perimeter defense, with Jones noting that George’s added strength allows him to effectively match up against bigger forwards.

His outside shooting was also emphasized, along with the way his presence helps teammates settle more naturally into their roles.

Following the game, George addressed his plans for the remainder of the season, according to Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports.

He said his intention is to appear in all nine of the team’s remaining regular season games, provided his body cooperates, and mentioned that he felt more explosive in this return than he did before the suspension.
