Two-way guard Nate Williams may have joined the Golden State Warriors only after the All-Star break, but he has quickly carved out a role as a useful contributor in limited minutes.

His impact was especially evident on Saturday in Atlanta, where he poured in 19 points while shooting an efficient 8-of-9 from the field.

Head coach Steve Kerr praised Williams’ performance and overall approach following the game, according to Nick Friedell of The Athletic.

“Nate’s been great,” Kerr said. “He’s a really good young guy. Very coachable. He’s got a live body, you can see he can score in the paint … he’s got a good touch.”

However, Williams’ availability has been somewhat limited due to the structure of his two-way contract.

Since he signed late in the season, he is eligible to be active for a maximum of 16 games, and he has already appeared in 11.

As a result, he has been listed as inactive in three of the Warriors’ last four games as the team manages his remaining eligibility.
