The San Antonio Spurs built an early burst to crush the Memphis Grizzlies 123-98 to earn seven straight win on Wednesday night.

Victor Wembanyama dropped 19 points, 15 rebounds, and seven blocks. Devin Vassell also had 19, while Stephon Castle and Keldon Johnson finished with 15 points each.

The Spurs moved within two games of the Thunder for the top spot in the Western Conference.

On the other hand, GG Jackson had 20 points. Olivier-Maxence Prosper finished with 17, and DeJon Jarreau added 15 as the Grizzlies lost their fourth in a row.

San Antonio started with a highlight lob to Wembanyama, taking an early 22-4 lead that grew to 57-44 at the half.

Wembanyama also took advantage to begin the second, as they extended the lead to 20 points or more in the third.

The Spurs ended the third with a 98-64 lead.

Meanwhile, injuries ended the Grizzlies’ competitive nature as ten players did not dress for the Spurs game, and the team announced Tuesday that starters Ja Morant and Zach Edey, along with key frontline reserve Brandon Clarke, are done for the season after undergoing various medical procedures.
