Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade held off LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne 79-78 on Tuesday at Belgrade Arena, marking its fourth consecutive EuroLeague victory.
The Serbian side improved to 13-20 while ASVEL fell to 8-25, remaining at the bottom of the standings.
Carlik Jones delivered split free throws with 1.1 seconds left, capping a see-saw contest in which the visitors had led 73-76 late in the fourth quarter.
Partizan overcame a slow start that saw them fall behind 14-27 early in the second quarter before responding with a 22-5 run to lead 36-32 at halftime.
Dylan Osetkowski scored a team-high 16 points, including 4-of-5 from three-point range, while Aleksej Pokusevski contributed key baskets to keep Partizan ahead in the third quarter.
Thomas Heurtel paced ASVEL with 19 points and nine assists, but the French side could not hold off the hosts down the stretch.
Jones scored 11 of his 14 points in the first half and remained clutch in the final possession, missing only his second free throw to run down the clock.
Sterling Brown and Osetkowski were instrumental on defense and timely scoring, helping Partizan reclaim control in the final minutes.
Partizan now prepares to host Valencia Basket on March 27, while ASVEL travels to FC Bayern Munich on March 26 as the season nears its conclusion.
