Stephen Curry will remain out for the Golden State Warriors’ upcoming games in Atlanta and Dallas. Still, the team expects him to return to practice soon, according to an official update.

Curry, who has been sidelined since January 30 with patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner’s knee), was reevaluated Saturday.

The team said he’s making “good progress” and has increased his individual on-court work, with another check-in scheduled when Golden State returns home Tuesday.

There’s still cautious optimism that Curry could be back before the end of March, as he continues focusing on conditioning and ensuring his knee can handle full basketball activity.

When healthy, the 38-year-old remains highly productive, averaging 27.2 points while shooting efficiently from both the field and three-point range.

The Warriors have struggled in his absence, falling to 10th in the West with a much worse record without him in the lineup.
