Dubai Basketball delivered a controlled road performance to overcome FC Bayern Munich 87-74 on Thursday at SAP Garden. The visitors trailed early but flipped the momentum in the second quarter, taking a 5-point lead into halftime.

Dwayne Bacon led Dubai with 21 points, five rebounds, and six assists, while Mfioundu Kabengele came alive after a scoreless first half to add 16 points. Justin Anderson, Bruno Caboclo, and Dzanan Musa also scored in double figures, contributing 10, 10, and 11 points respectively.

Bayern started aggressively, building a 3-point lead after the first quarter behind Oscar da Silva’s 12 points. The hosts struggled to keep up with Dubai’s shooting from deep, converting just 7 of 21 triples (33.3%) compared to the visitors’ 12 of 28 (42.9%).

Dubai extended its advantage in the third quarter, creating a double-digit cushion by the fourth. Bayern attempted a late push, but the road team answered every challenge to secure the 13-point win.

The result improves Dubai’s record to 17-15, bolstering its postseason hopes, while Bayern drops to 13-19, narrowing its margin for playoff contention. Dubai will host Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens next Tuesday, and Bayern travels to Zalgiris Kaunas the same day.
