CJ McCollum scored 24 points and Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 22 as the Atlanta Hawks cruised past the Dallas Mavericks 135-120 on Wednesday night at American Airlines Center.

The win marked Atlanta’s 11th consecutive victory, tying for the fourth-longest streak in franchise history and their longest since the 2014-15 season.

Dyson Daniels contributed 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting, while Jalen Johnson added 17 points and 11 rebounds, helping the Hawks control the paint and transition opportunities.

Atlanta jumped out early, fueled by Onyeka Okongwo’s first 10 points, and never trailed, leading 67-56 at halftime.

Dallas struggled with turnovers, committing 18 compared to Atlanta’s 11, allowing the Hawks to convert mistakes into points and maintain momentum.

Jonathan Kuminga hit a 75-foot shot late in the contest, the longest in Hawks play-by-play history and sixth-longest in the NBA since 1997-98, surpassing Jason Terry’s 63-footer in 2000.

The Hawks shot 54% from the field and 40% from three, while making 79% of free throws, demonstrating balanced offensive efficiency.

Dallas received strong contributions from Daniel Gafford with 24 points, P.J. Washington’s 23, and Cooper Flagg’s 17, but the team could not overcome the deficit.

The victory keeps the Hawks at 38-31, maintaining position in the play-in race, while the Mavericks fell to 23-47, continuing their slide toward the draft lottery.

Atlanta will visit Houston on Friday, and Dallas returns home to face the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, with both teams looking to adjust after Wednesday’s results.
