The Miami Heat enter Tuesday’s road game against the Charlotte Hornets with a critical injury concern, as Bam Adebayo is listed as questionable due to right calf tightness. The matchup is set for 7:00 PM ET at Spectrum Center, with playoff positioning at stake in the Eastern Conference.

Miami holds a 38-30 record, sitting seventh in the standings, while Charlotte is 34-34 and fighting to stay in the play-in range. Availability on both sides could directly impact rotation stability and late-game execution.

Adebayo’s potential absence would affect both ends of the floor for Miami, given his averages of 20.0 points and 9.7 rebounds across 60 games. His role as a primary screener and defensive anchor is central to the Heat’s half-court efficiency and rim protection.

The Heat are already without Andrew Wiggins, who is out with left big toe sesamoiditis, and Terry Rozier, who is not with the team. Wiggins’ absence removes a 15.9-point scorer who spaces the floor at nearly 40% from three-point range.

Tyler Herro is available despite left quadriceps soreness and remains Miami’s top perimeter scorer at 21.5 points per game. Norman Powell, averaging 22.5 points, provides additional scoring, but the offense relies heavily on interior balance when Adebayo is active.

Nikola Jovic and Pelle Larsson are both probable, offering frontcourt and wing depth, while Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kel’el Ware are available to absorb minutes if rotations tighten. Ware, averaging 9.4 rebounds, could see an expanded role if Adebayo is limited or unavailable.

Charlotte’s injury report is lighter in terms of rotation impact, though Tidjane Salaun is out with a left calf strain. Several players, including Antonio Reeves, Liam McNeeley, Tosan Evbuomwan and PJ Hall, remain out on G League assignments and are not part of the primary rotation.

The Hornets’ core remains intact, led by Brandon Miller (20.4 points), LaMelo Ball (19.3 points, 7.1 assists), and Kon Knueppel (19.3 points).

From a matchup standpoint, Miami has controlled the season series 3-0, including a 128-120 win in Charlotte on March 6.
