New York Knicks guard Jose Alvarado admitted he has been disappointed with his recent struggles from three-point range, according to Jared Schwartz of the New York Post.
The guard acknowledged that his shooting hasn’t been where he wants it to be and said he needs to continue trusting the work he’s put in while trying to improve.
“I just gotta continue to trust in my work. I’ve been a good shooter my whole career,” he said. “It’s a different road, a different situation here. You asked me how [my 3-point shooting] is, it sucks, so I gotta get better at it.”
After hitting eight three-pointers in a game against the Sixers on Feb. 11, Alvarado has cooled off significantly.
Since then, he has connected on only five of his 34 attempts from beyond the arc.
The guard, who holds a $4.5MM option on his contract for next season, also went scoreless in 13 minutes during the Knicks’ game against the Pacers, failing to attempt a single shot.
