Mitchell Robinson of the New York Knicks logged a season-high 31 minutes on Friday and took full advantage of the extended playing time.

The Knicks center delivered a standout performance, collecting a career-best 22 rebounds, including nine on the offensive glass, in a nine-point win over Indiana.

Robinson has been carefully managed throughout the season under a load management plan designed to help him stay healthy and available.

“It’s obviously shown that it’s paid off,” coach Mike Brown told the New York Post’s Jared Schwartz, “because of his ability to, knock on wood, stay on the floor and play in games and play the minutes he played tonight.”

The performance is an encouraging sign for Robinson, especially with the big man set to enter free agency this summer.

Robinson has played 8 seasons for the Knicks. He has averaged 8.0 rebounds and 7.5 points in 386 regular-season games.
