FC Bayern Munich confirmed on Monday, March 9, that Andreas Obst has extended his contract through 2029, keeping one of Europe’s top shooters with the club.
Obst, 29, has been a consistent scorer in both the EuroLeague and easyCredit BBL this season, averaging 15.5 points per game with a 40.2% three-point mark in Europe, and 14.9 points per game at 40.4% from beyond the arc domestically. His contribution helped Bayern secure German championships in 2024 and 2025 and German Cup victories in 2023 and 2024.
The veteran guard also boasts international success, having been a part of Germany’s 2023 world championship and 2025 European championship teams.
Obst’s extension comes as Bayern struggles in the EuroLeague this season, currently sitting 15th in the standings with a 13-17 record. Despite team challenges, his shooting consistency remains a bright spot, reinforcing his value to the club and national team stars.
Obst’s long-term commitment gives Bayern a foundational piece for future domestic and European campaigns. With 141 career games for the club, he averages 9.1 points and maintains a 40.5% three-point conversion rate.
