Suns forward Dillon Brooks was arrested early Friday morning in Scottsdale on suspicion of driving under the influence.

According to TMZ, the Canadian player was described as “respectful and cooperative” after officers detained him around 2 a.m., and he was released roughly 80 minutes later.

Brooks is currently sidelined after fracturing his hand during a February 21 victory over the Magic, an injury expected to keep him out for four to six weeks.

His absence has been a setback for Phoenix, which holds a 35–27 record and sits seventh in the Western Conference standings.

Before the injury, Brooks was putting together the best season of his career, averaging personal highs of 20.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
