New Orleans Pelicans beat the Sacramento Kings 133‑123 Thursday at Golden 1 Center, with Zion Williamson scoring 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting.
Trey Murphy III added 21 points and Saddiq Bey contributed 20 points, helping New Orleans snap a two-game losing streak.
Williamson also grabbed nine rebounds and handed out five assists, while the Pelicans made 12 three-pointers compared to Sacramento’s eight.
The Pelicans held a 67‑61 halftime lead and extended it with a 15‑0 third-quarter run to build a 14-point advantage.
Sacramento was paced by Precious Achiuwa’s 29 points and 12 rebounds, and Russell Westbrook’s 19 points with 10 assists, but the Kings fell to 14‑50 overall.
The loss marked Sacramento’s ninth consecutive home defeat and third straight overall, following a 16-game losing streak earlier in the season.
Dejounte Murray did not play for the Pelicans in this first game of a back-to-back, and Kings forward Keegan Murray missed his fourth straight game with an ankle injury.
DeMar DeRozan scored 15 points to move into 19th place on the NBA’s career scoring list for Sacramento.
New Orleans shot 50% from the field and 35% from three, while Sacramento converted 51% overall but struggled from deep at 26%.
The Pelicans improve to 20‑44 and travel to face the Phoenix Suns Friday, while the Kings remain at 14‑50 and will host the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
