The Atlanta Hawks are set to add rookie point guard Keshon Gilbert on a two-way contract, according to league sources who spoke with Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.
Gilbert went undrafted in 2025 after finishing his college career at Iowa State.
He initially signed a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal with the Wizards in September but was released at the outset of training camp, positioning him to join Washington’s G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go.
The 6’4″ guard has spent the bulk of the season with Capital City, where he has averaged 13.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 27.4 minutes per game across 30 appearances.
He has shot .456 from the field, .210 from three-point range and .789 from the free-throw line.
Gilbert also earned a brief NBA opportunity last month, signing a 10-day contract with Washington and appearing in three games.
Atlanta has had an open two-way slot since promoting Caleb Houstan to the standard roster, so no additional move will be required to finalize Gilbert’s signing.
The 22-year-old will team up with Christian Koloko and RayJ Dennis as the Hawks’ two-way players.
If the agreement becomes official Tuesday, Gilbert will be eligible to appear in up to 12 regular season games for Atlanta the rest of the 2025/26 campaign.
The signing would bring the Hawks to the maximum 18 players on their roster.
