The Washington Wizards announced Saturday that they have signed free agent forward Julian Reese to a two-way contract.
A Baltimore native and four-year Maryland standout, Reese went undrafted in 2025 following a strong senior campaign with the Terrapins.
He initially signed an Exhibit 10 contract with Toronto during the fall, was later waived in order to earn a bonus tied to joining the club’s G League affiliate, and has spent the entire 2025/26 season playing for Raptors 905.
The 6-foot-9 power forward has appeared in 38 games for Raptors 905 across both the Tip-Off Tournament and regular season.
In 17.2 minutes per game, the 22-year-old has averaged 7.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks while shooting an efficient 62.9% from the field and 66.2% from the free-throw line.
According to Josh Robbins of The Athletic, Reese could make his Wizards debut as soon as Tuesday’s road game in Orlando.
Washington created the two-way roster opening after promoting Jamir Watkins to a two-year standard contract.
Reese will be eligible to suit up for as many as 13 NBA games with the Wizards under the terms of his deal.
