
The New Orleans Pelicans will visit the Utah Jazz on Thursday, February 26, at 9:00 PM ET at the Delta Center. Both teams enter the game with notable injuries that are likely to influence rotations and on-court strategies.
The Pelicans will be without Trey Murphy III, who is sidelined with a right shoulder contusion, and Yves Missi, out with a left calf strain. Two-way players Trey Alexander and Hunter Dickinson remain inactive in the G League.
Murphy has been a primary scorer for New Orleans, averaging 22.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, while Missi contributes 5.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest.
For Utah, the injury list is more extensive. Jaren Jackson Jr., Walker Kessler, Jusuf Nurkic, and Vince Williams Jr. are all out with various injuries, while Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen are listed as questionable with ankle issues.
Markkanen is the Jazz’s top scorer at 26.7 points per game, and George adds 23.8 points per outing.
New Orleans arrives on a two-game winning streak, defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 126-111 on February 21 and the Golden State Warriors 113-109 on February 24.
Zion Williamson continues to anchor the frontcourt, contributing 21.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, while Saddiq Bey adds 16.8 points and 5.8 boards per contest.
The Jazz, meanwhile, have lost their last two games, falling 114-123 to the Memphis Grizzlies on February 20 and 105-125 to the Houston Rockets on February 23.
