Veteran Oliver Lafayette will join Unicaja Malaga after it was reported that Valencia, who looked set to sign the 32-year-old were unable to match the last minute offer that Unicaja put on the table.
Valencia own the rights to Lafayette but were unable to match the offer made by Unicaja, so they will look for an exchange instead with Will Thomas the likely candidate.
Lafayette comes to Unicaja Malaga from EA7 Milano. The experienced guard also owns a Croatian passport.
Oliver Lafayette is the new player of Unicaja Malaga! Valencia will not match the offer! #BeoBasket
