James Harden has been diagnosed with a broken right thumb following an injury he sustained during the Cleveland Cavaliers’ victory over the New York Knicks on Tuesday.

The veteran guard is currently undergoing further medical evaluations and receiving treatment as the team monitors his recovery process.

Harden’s availability for Cleveland’s next matchup remains uncertain, as he has been listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks while doctors continue to assess the severity of the injury and how it responds to treatment.

The Cavaliers acquired Harden from the Los Angeles Clippers shortly before the trade deadline, adding the veteran playmaker in hopes of strengthening their backcourt for the remainder of the season.

Since joining Cleveland, the player has made an immediate impact, averaging 18.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 8.0 assists in 32.2 minutes per game across seven appearances with the team.
