The Eastern Conference-leading Detroit Pistons travel to face the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, February 21, with tipoff set for 8:00 PM ET at United Center.

The matchup carries weight for both teams, with Detroit sitting first in the East at 41-14 and Chicago 11th at 25-32.

Detroit enters on a two-game road winning streak after victories over the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors. Chicago has dropped two straight, including a 110-101 home loss to Toronto.

The Pistons will be without Isaiah Stewart due to a league suspension. Stewart averages 10.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in 23.3 minutes, providing interior toughness and rim protection off the bench.

His absence places more responsibility on Jalen Duren, who is averaging 17.7 points and 10.4 rebounds while shooting 63.1% from the field. Detroit also has Paul Reed available as a reserve big, contributing 6.6 points and 4.3 boards in limited minutes.

Tolu Smith is listed as questionable with a right knee contusion. Isaac Jones is questionable on a two-way assignment, while Bobi Klintman and Wendell Moore Jr. are out on G League stints.

Detroit’s offense continues to run through Cade Cunningham, who is posting 25.7 points and 9.7 assists per game. The All-Star guard is supported by Tobias Harris (13.4 points), Duncan Robinson (12.2 points, 40.2% from three), and Ausar Thompson (10.2 points, 6.0 rebounds).

Chicago’s injury report includes key rotation questions. Former Piston Jaden Ivey is questionable with left patellofemoral pain syndrome. In four games, he has averaged 11.5 points and 4.0 assists while shooting 38.1% from beyond the arc.

Zach Collins is out with a sprained right big toe, removing a frontcourt option who averaged 9.7 points and 5.6 rebounds in 18.4 minutes. Noa Essengue remains sidelined following left shoulder surgery.

Guerschon Yabusele is listed as probable with a left calf contusion. He is averaging 10.2 points and shooting 40.7% from three in five games.

Chicago’s offense has been led by Josh Giddey, who is producing 18.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per contest. Matas Buzelis adds 15.0 points and 5.4 rebounds, while Tre Jones contributes 12.4 points and 5.8 assists.

The season series stands at 2-1 in favor of Detroit. The Bulls won the opener in October before the Pistons responded with wins in November and January.
