The Sacramento Kings travel to face the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, February 21, in a Western Conference matchup featuring teams trending in opposite directions.

Sacramento enters at 13-44, last in the West, while San Antonio sits second at 39-17 and riding momentum from back-to-back wins over Phoenix and Golden State.

The Kings will be without two core starters. Domantas Sabonis remains out following left knee meniscus repair, and Zach LaVine is sidelined after right fifth finger tendon surgery.

De’Andre Hunter is also out with left eye iritis, and Dylan Cardwell is sidelined with a left ankle sprain. Isaiah Stevens remains on a two-way G League assignment.

Sacramento’s offense now leans heavily on DeMar DeRozan, who averages 18.6 points on 49.1% shooting. Russell Westbrook contributes 15.1 points and 6.5 assists, while Keegan Murray adds 14.6 points and 6.2 rebounds.

Malik Monk provides scoring punch off the bench at 12.4 points per game and shoots 42.8% from three, offering spacing in smaller lineups.

San Antonio’s injury report is comparatively lighter. Mason Plumlee is out for return-to-competition reconditioning, and David Jones Garcia remains on a two-way assignment.

Stanley Umude and Lindy Waters III are listed as questionable with left knee hyperextensions, and Harrison Ingram is questionable on a two-way designation.

The Spurs’ core remains intact, led by Victor Wembanyama. The All-Star center averages 24.2 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks while shooting 51.0% from the field.

De’Aaron Fox adds 19.3 points and 6.3 assists, and Stephon Castle contributes 16.6 points with 6.9 assists. Devin Vassell provides perimeter scoring at 14.0 points per game.

San Antonio won the only prior meeting this season, defeating Sacramento 123-110 on November 16.
