Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley had plenty of great things to say about new guard Jevon Carter after Thursday’s 131-94 road win vs. the Sacramento Kings (14 points/3 rebounds/4 assists/1 steal/5-8 FG/3-5 3-PT/1-1 FT/+34 +/- in 23 minutes off the bench).

Dan Savage: “It’s been evident even early on the type of work ethic that Jevon has. To see him step up in the way he has tonight, being with the team for such a short period of time, what have you learned about that young man and what did you think of his performance tonight?”

Mosley: “That’s a great point right there, Dan. He’s about the right things. He’s about winning. He’s about team. He’s about playing the right way. And you saw as soon as he stepped on the court, it was pick up full-court, talking in the huddles, getting guys in the right spots, stepping in with confidence to his shot. But again, he’s about all the right things. He’s about winning. He’s about toughness. He fits exactly what we do here with the Magic: hard-nose defense, creating your offense on the other end.”
