Klay Thompson has finalized a lifetime endorsement deal with ANTA, capping a 12-year partnership that produced over 10 million “KT” sneakers.
The news was first reported by Nick DePaula on Friday, February 13, confirming the agreement will extend beyond Thompson’s playing career.
Thompson, 35, is in his first season with the Dallas Mavericks, appearing in 49 games with averages of 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 22.1 minutes per contest.
The sharpshooter is connecting on 37.5% of his three-point attempts, making 2.9 per game, maintaining his reputation as a reliable perimeter threat in the Mavericks’ rotation.
Thompson reflected on the partnership, telling DePaula: “ANTA was taking a chance on me, and I was taking a chance on them. It was a match made in heaven. When I started wearing ANTA, my career just took off. I was able to break some records, win some championships, play in All-Star Games and Olympic gold medal games.”
He added, “I’m so grateful for their backing, and it’s inspired me to keep going. My time in Asia, the Philippines, and all over the world has been so special. To grow the game and see the fans is something I don’t take for granted and will cherish for the rest of my life.”
The “KT” sneaker line has been a major commercial success for ANTA, becoming one of the brand’s top-selling collections over more than a decade.
This deal positions Thompson among a small group of NBA players with lifetime endorsements.
Dallas is struggling at 19-35, sitting 12th in the Western Conference, but Thompson provides veteran leadership alongside rising star Cooper Flagg, who is averaging 20.4 points per game.
