Washington Wizards guard Bub Carrington will join Team T-Mac in the 2026 Castrol Rising Stars game, replacing teammate Alex Sarr, who is sidelined with a hamstring strain, the NBA announced Thursday. The game is set for Friday, Feb. 13, at 9 PM ET on Peacock.
Carrington, 20, has shown steady development this season, averaging 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists across 53 games while shooting 39.3% from three-point range. His insertion into Team T-Mac adds depth to the backcourt alongside rookie Tre Johnson and sophomore Cam Spencer.
Sarr’s hamstring injury limits the Wizards’ representation in the showcase, but Carrington’s inclusion highlights the team’s emerging young talent. He brings experience from 24 starts and a season-long role in Washington’s rotation, offering versatility as a scoring and facilitating guard.
Team T-Mac already features promising sophomores Zaccharie Risacher, Jaylon Tyson, Alex Sarr (replaced), Kel’el Ware, and Cam Spencer.
