The Phoenix Suns dethroned the Mavericks 120-111, sending Dallas to its eighth consecutive loss on Tuesday night.
Dillon Brooks dropped 23 points, Devin Booker had 19, Mark Williams added 13, and Oso Ighodaro had 10 points and 10 rebounds from the bench, as they led the Suns by 31 late in the second quarter before holding on.
On the other hand, Naji Marshall had 31 points, and Cooper Flagg finished with 27 for the Mavericks, but they still have not won since beating the Warriors at home on January 22.
The Suns nearly led the entire game, taking a 2-1 lead on Booker’s turnaround jumper with 10:01 left in the first quarter and never trailed again.
Flagg scored eight points as the Mavs used an 18-1 run late in the first half to close to 62-48 before O’Neale’s three-pointer made it 65-48 at half.
Dallas rallied late as Marshall’s brought within 115-109 with 2:09 remaining, being the closest score ever since the first quarter, before Booker sealed the win through a jumper and a free throw for a nine-point cushion.
Meanwhile, both teams played without their sharpshooter, as Klay Thompson was out for the Mavericks, while Grayson Allen (knee) missed his second straight game for the Suns.
Dallas will play a road game at the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, while the Suns host the Thunder on Wednesday.
